Club-museum and lecture series "Masks and Figures of the World"
About museum
The Club-Museum and Lecture Series "Masks and Figures of the World" invites visitors to view a collection of rare ritual masks and figures from Africa, Asia, Russia and Mesoamerica. Each item has its own story and the mythology of its people, but they are united by a common purpose — to bring good luck and protect against evil spirits. The museum displays African masks with forms unusual to a European eye, bright Asian masks, and Russian masks, which are almost never shown to a wide audience. All these objects help to understand the stylistic features of different peoples and to immerse oneself in mythology, secret rites and religions. Visitors must book in advance.
