About museum
At present the budgetary cultural institution 'Local History Museum' is located in a two-story brick building that underwent renovation in 2011. The museum's total area is 362.4 sq. m., including exhibition area (336.5 sq. m.) and storage for collections (25.9 sq. m.). The museum features permanent exhibitions, including 'Ancient Period. Settlement of the region', 'Orthodoxy in the district', 'Peasant and petty-bourgeois everyday life. Development of crafts', 'Hall of Military Glory' and an exhibition dedicated to the Navy. The museum is of great importance to the cultural life of the district, carefully preserving and developing historical traditions. Our district has a rich history that runs through the centuries. Hardworking people lived here — defenders of the Motherland, patriots who contributed to the development and successes of our region.
