About museum

On November 2, 1987, the Municipal Budgetary Institution 'Karakashlinsky Local History Museum named after Salima Shamsetdinovna Sharafieva' was opened in the Yutazinsky District of the Republic of Tatarstan. At that time it held 70 exhibits. From 1993 to 2007 the museum was a branch of the National State United Museum. In 2009 it was given the name of the museum's founder, Salima Shamsetdinovna Sharafieva. Today the museum's collection includes more than 15,000 exhibits. It consists of four sections: the life and household of the old village, life during the Great Patriotic War, the village's notable figures, and contemporary life.
