\r\nThis museum is located in a 19th-century architectural monument. Previously, government institutions were housed in this building: a library, a club, the district administration, and the House of Pioneers. In 1962 a club called "Poisk" (Search) was organized within the House of Pioneers, and in 1967 a Hall of Military Glory was created there. In 1976 the museum received certificate No. 1817 conferring the title "School Museum", and in 1994 a decision was made to transfer it to the Astrakhan Museum-Reserve. Museum staff actively participate in district events together with the library, the cinema center, and the art school. It is known not only within the Liman district but also beyond. Delegations from nearby districts — Narimanovsky and Ikryaninsky — visit the museum, as do students from district schools, GPGU, and the college. In summer the museum serves children's camps. Throughout the year various exhibitions and displays are held: "Flora and Fauna of the Region", "Settlement of the Liman Region", "Contemporary Development of the Region", "Liman Residents in Defense of the Motherland".
