About museum

In 1973, the I.D. Bronnikova Historical and Local History Museum was opened in the village of Khorol; it is a cultural heritage monument of Primorsky Krai. The building formerly housed the headquarters of the 98/86th Guards Red Banner Nikolaev Rifle Division, formed in 1941. The museum's collection comprises 13,746 inventory items, and the permanent exhibitions introduce visitors to the flora and fauna of Primorsky Krai, a traditional peasant izba, the history of Khorol District, the Hall of Military Glory, minerals and other mineral resources of Primorsky Krai. Archaeological finds, taxidermied animals and birds, frontline trophies and other exhibits help visitors learn about the district's history and nature. The museum hosts local history, research, and educational events.
