\r\nOn January 18, 1991, the Chernigov District Local History Museum was founded. It was established at the initiative of war and labor veterans and honored residents of the village, with the support of the RK CPSU and the district executive committee. The museum building was constructed in 1912–1913 from red brick at the Chernigov brickworks of local industrialist I. Monastyrny. It houses a collection of more than 12,000 items reflecting the life of the first settlers of the Chernigov district: photographs; documents of Great Patriotic War veterans; participants in the Damansky incidents; internationalist soldiers; ceramic tableware; rushnyky (embroidered ritual towels); podzory (traditional decorative strips); embroidered doilies; paintings by local artists; graphic works by members of the USSR Union of Artists; as well as numismatics and notaphily (banknote collecting). For tourism development, the following tourist routes were developed: "Gornohutor Fortress", "In Arsenyev's Footsteps" and "Journey around Chernigovka".
