Bryansky District Historical and Local Lore Museum
About museum
The municipal budgetary cultural institution "Bryansky District Historical and Local Lore Museum" was established in 2000 in accordance with the Civil Code of the Russian Federation. In 2013 the museum underwent a major renovation, after which the Hall of Military Glory was opened on December 5. The exhibition was formed with the participation of school museums, the Veterans' Council, former child prisoners and relatives of war heroes. The Hall of Military Glory offers an opportunity to learn about the history of Bryansky District during the Great Patriotic War. The Hall of Antiquities features replicas of flint tools, a model of a partisan dugout, and materials on the Paleolithic. In the Ethnography section you can see a model of a Russian izba and items of old Russian everyday life. The tour of the Hall of Military Glory is interactive: music is played, and the exhibits can be examined and touched.
