Bondarsky Local History Museum
About museum
In 1971, under the leadership of Vladimir Mikhailovich Parshikov, the first people's museum was established in Bondari. In 1983, Yuliya Alekseevna Spasenkova began creating a museum dedicated to the history of the village secondary school. In 1995 it turned into a local history museum. It features exhibitions dedicated to the unique natural, cultural, and historical monuments of Bondarsky District. The museum presents the following displays: archaeology and paleontology of the region; the animal and plant life of Bondarsky District; the stay of P. I. Tchaikovsky on Bondar land; village life at the end of the 19th century; the establishment of Soviet power; the collectivization of the district; Bondar residents during the Great Patriotic War; and notable local figures. The collection includes materials on the poet V. D. Zamyatin; the artists M. K. Anikeev; the honored architect and artist, member of the Union of Journalists V. F. Sidorov; K. V. and A. V. Karaskov; the actor V. M. Korotky; and the architect and engineer A. I. Kulikov.
