Interactive Museum of the Panfilov Heroes (Bunker)
About museum
The "Panfilov Heroes" Memorial is dedicated to 28 soldiers of the Red Army from the 4th Company, 2nd Battalion of the 1075th Rifle Regiment of the 316th Rifle Division under Major General I. V. Panfilov. The complex was solemnly opened on May 6, 1975, for the 30th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
On May 9, 2017, an interactive museum named after the Panfilov Heroes was opened on the grounds of the memorial complex.
Using modern multimedia technologies, the museum's exhibits present a reconstruction of the battle at the Dubosekovo rail junction, which took place on November 16, 1941, in which a platoon of tank destroyers, heroically defending their positions, delayed German forces advancing toward Moscow.
The museum displays unique archival documents, weapons, military clothing and personal items used by commanders and soldiers. Weapon replicas may be touched and handled. On interactive panels, in a game-like format, visitors can pack a nurse's or pilot's kit. The exhibition allows visitors to learn facts about military history and the Great Victory.
