About museum

Lev Ivanovich Oshanin Gallery in the city of Rybinsk was opened on February 22, 2023. Its founder is Alexander Nikolaevich Shilov, a painter, honorary academician of the Russian Academy of Arts, and a member of the Union of Artists of Russia.

The main activities of the gallery are the development of culture and the visual arts, educational outreach, hosting exhibitions by the country's leading artists, as well as organizing and holding regional and all-Russian academic plein-airs.

The gallery features a museum exhibition dedicated to Lev Ivanovich Oshanin. Also in 2023 a series of events is planned to mark the 111th anniversary of the poet's birth, one of which is an academic art plein-air.
