Tatiana Kalinina's "Doll House" Art Gallery was opened on June 28, 1999, and is an important element of cultural life not only in Karelia but in Russia as a whole. The core of the gallery is a collection of original dolls by the artist Tatiana Kalinina, developed over several years beginning in 1992. In addition, the gallery presents works by other artists working in various genres. The gallery regularly hosts workshops, lectures, exhibitions, and concerts. Tatiana Kalinina imparted her own vision to the dolls, which allowed new ideas and characters to be realized in them. Thus, the "Doll House" gallery has become an integral part of Russia's cultural life.
