State Museum of New Western Art (GMNZI)
About museum
Presenting a virtual reconstruction of the State Museum of New Western Art — the world's first museum of modern art that exists exclusively online. The collection contains over 800 digitized paintings by Monet, Cézanne, Gauguin, Degas, Renoir, Van Gogh, Matisse, Picasso and other painters, one thousand works on paper and 106 sculptures. All works are available for viewing in high quality and without restrictions. The virtual museum includes an electronic collection of works, virtual exhibition halls, information about artists and collectors, detailed descriptions, photographs and documents. The virtual halls are divided into three chronological periods and are presented as interactive 3D panoramas created on the basis of old photographs and descriptions. This project is being implemented jointly by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the State Hermitage Museum, the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, the State Museum and Exhibition Centre "ROSIZO" (GMVTS "ROSIZO"), Global Workshop, and ZAO "EPOS Group".
