"Dara-Ehe" (Tara). Sculpture from the group "Twenty-one Tara"
"Dara-Ehe" (Tara) is a sculpture from the group "Twenty-one Tara", created in the late XIX — early XX century in Buryatia. The figure is sitting on a lotus with multicolored petals: the left leg is bent, the right leg is lowered from the seat. In his hands are lotus stalks with leaves, branches and flowers. The right arm is lowered, the left is raised to the chest, the palms are turned inside out. Dara-Ehe wears two skirts—a short blue one on top and a long red one on the bottom. Her blue hair is pulled back into a high conical hairstyle, and her head is surrounded by a green halo with a golden rim. The sculpture is made of ceramic using a stamp and coloring.
