Manjushri
The sculpture depicts the deity Manjushri. The figure stands on a lotus pedestal in the samapada pose. In his right hand, raised up, is a sword, in his left, lowered down, is a flower on which lies a book. On his head is a high narrow bun. The work was created in the technique of casting from bronze, painted using primer, pigments and gold paste. Presumably, it dates back to the XVI–XVII centuries, the place of production is Western Tibet.
