The manuscript of "Majalis al-'Ushshak" (Lovers' Meetings) attributed to Husayn Mirza Baykar
The manuscript "Majalis al-'Ushshak" ("Meetings of lovers"), the authorship of which is attributed to the Timurid Sultan Husayn Mirza Baykara. The manuscript was created in the middle of the 16th century, consists of 168 sheets and is written in Persian in black ink using gold and blue colors. The text is framed on sheets with empty margins, and on one of them there is a colorful canvas with a floral pattern and medallions. The binding is greenish-yellow, decorated with medallions with "Islimi" motifs and inscriptions. The manuscript contains eight polychrome miniatures with multi-figure scenes, and on the last page there is a colophon with erased text.
