\r\nThe State Museum of Urban Sculpture in Saint Petersburg is a unique museum institution dedicated to the study, preservation and restoration of monuments of monumental art in the open urban environment. The main exhibition of the museum comprises the Necropolises and tombs of the Lavra, as well as the Rostral Columns, the Narva and Moscow Triumphal Gates, the Sphinxes, the equestrian groups on the Anichkov Bridge, monuments to Peter I, Catherine II, Nicholas I, A. S. Pushkin, M. V. Lomonosov, A. V. Suvorov, and others. The museum is responsible for more than 200 monuments and 1,500 memorial plaques. Contemporary art (painting, sculpture, photography, video art, etc.) is presented in the New Exhibition Hall.
