The color etching "Midnight" is included in the graphic series "Zaonezhye". The work was completed in 1986 by Alexander Ivanovich Morozov in Petrozavodsk. The composition is two-dimensional. In the foreground is a young woman in a light dress sitting on a sofa with a baby on her lap, her head tilted back in a half—sleep. Nearby, by the stove, is an old man with bare feet, staring intently at a woman. In the background there are two doorways overlooking a dark street, and in the opening you can see the figure of a boy peering into the starry sky. On the shelf there are clay jugs, tusks and a mortar and pestle. In the lower left corner is the author's entry: "Midnight. The etching. Aquatint 4/4", in the right is the artist's signature and the year of creation.
