Postcard. «Sirin Bird of Paradise»
The postcard «Bird of Paradise Sirin» was created in 1906 by Ivan Yakovlevich Bilibin. The obverse depicts a mythical creature with the body of a bird, a female breast and a head surrounded by a halo. The image is made in polychrome technique on a light brown background. At the top, the name «Bird of Paradise Sirin» is written in a flowing script, and at the bottom right, the author's name and year are indicated — «I. Bilibin. 1905.». On the reverse side, there is the logo of the Community of St. Eugene, the inscriptions «ОТКРЫТОЕ ПИСЬМО» and «CARTE POSTALE», as well as markings for the letter, addresses and stamps. The postcard was printed in St. Petersburg by chromolithography on thick paper.
