About museum

The creation of the museum in Goryachy Klyuch began in 1998, when exhibits were collected for it by the town's residents. The official opening took place on May 9, 2000. Over the years the museum has been transformed and its collections have reached 6,000 items. The museum's halls tell the history of Goryachy Klyuch from ancient times to the present; archaeological and paleontological materials are displayed, as well as information about the Psekups Regiment Museum and the military history of the Caucasus. Visitors show particular interest in the exhibition about the famous opera singer G. A. Kovaleva, who was born and raised in Goryachy Klyuch. The museum hosts various art and themed exhibitions, including from private collections and joint exhibitions with museums of Krasnodar.
