About museum
The gallery-studio of People's Artist of the Russian Federation and laureate of the G. Tukay State Prize of the Republic of Tatarstan, Ildar Zaripov, was opened in 2004. His works are represented in the Tretyakov Gallery, the Russian Museum and other major art museums in Russia and the CIS, as well as in private collections abroad. In 2012, to commemorate Ildar Kasimovich (1939–2012), a children's art gallery was opened in the gallery building, featuring works by the artist and other well-known painters of the Republic of Tatarstan. The gallery also cooperates with Kazan's art schools, and holds cultural-educational events and master classes for children with developmental disabilities. It is part of the MBUK (Municipal Budgetary Cultural Institution) 'Museum Complex of the City of Kazan'.
