Branch of the Shushenskoye Museum-Reserve, village Ermakovskoye
About museum
On April 19, 1970, a branch of the Shushenskoye State Historical and Ethnographic Museum-Reserve was opened in the village of Ermakovskoye; it existed until 2005. It comprised two houses: one was the residence of the exile P. N. Lepeshinsky, and the other of A. A. Vaneev. In 1899 the first house hosted an important meeting of exiles from Minusinsk Uyezd under the leadership of V. I. Ulyanov (Lenin), and in the second house the 'Protest of Russian Social-Democrats' was adopted. In 2011 the Ministry of Culture of Krasnoyarsk Krai decided to restore the branch, since both houses are monuments of regional and federal significance. An ethnographic exhibition was created in A. A. Vaneev's house, and an exhibition hall was opened in Lepeshinsky's house. Today it is an object of cultural heritage of federal significance.
