Etkul Local History Museum

About museum

In the 1960s (20th century) Vladimir Ivanovich Sosenkov founded a small museum at the Etkul secondary school. Today it is a two-story complex housing exhibits on history and local lore, as well as a hall dedicated to natural and geographical subjects. The museum staff continue to add new exhibits and process incoming materials for the collections. The second building hosts exhibitions from the museum's collections and from other museums, primarily from the State Historical Museum of the Southern Urals.
