Underwater Archaeology Museum
About museum
The Kronstadt History Museum offers visitors an unforgettable journey into the past. In the museum's two buildings there are a local history exhibition and an underwater archaeology collection. The latter contains hundreds of unique recovered artifacts — maritime household items, ceramics, and elements of ship interiors and exteriors. Two hull fragments from the ship of the line Portsmouth provide insight into how ships were built in the era of Peter the Great. A visit to the museum gives guests an extraordinary experience of travelling back in time and feeling like true historians.
