Excursion estate "Goose House"
About museum
On August 27, 2010, the museum-estate "Goose House" was opened in the village of Bogorodskoye. It became a venue for supporting the traditions of breeding and raising geese, promoting and preserving folk arts and crafts, and developing rural tourism. The village of Bogorodskoye, with its rich historical roots, still breeds its own special goose variety — the Kholmogory-Bogorodskaya. The museum-estate gathers information about geese, offers guided tours, and features an exhibition of decorative and applied arts on goose themes. Visitors can listen to songs performed by a folk ensemble, play goose-themed games, learn about traditional cuisine, and purchase handmade souvenirs from the decorative and applied arts of the Novooskolsky urban district. In the "Goose Office" visitors can also leave an entry in the guestbook using a goose quill.
