\r\nLocated in the building of an old school built in 1928, the Dubensky Museum has existed since 1993 and was opened at the initiative of the public. Initially it was housed in the former kitchen-laundry of the Mosolov estate, and was later moved to 1 Chekalina Street. Currently the museum is located in the old school building with an area of about 400 sq. m. It has four exhibition halls and one display hall, as well as a spacious second-floor foyer. The museum exhibits items from the Dubensky factory of the Mosolov period, the archaeological collection of Y. I. Ovchinnikov, and the memorial belongings of famous residents of Dubensky District, such as two-time Olympic champion V. P. Vedenin, Honored Artist of Russia E. I. Pchelkina, Honored Artist of Russia V. P. Makarov, writer M. N. Kazakova, and others. The museum displays rare and valuable items and offers insight into the lives and activities of inhabitants of ancient towns and prehistoric sites within the territory of the Dubensky District.
