On September 10, 2000, the ceremonial opening of the country's only house-museum dedicated to T.N. Khrennikov took place. The composer himself provided considerable assistance in creating the exhibition. At present, with few exceptions, the house retains its historical layout. The museum's collection includes items that belonged to Tikhon Nikolayevich: manuscripts, piano scores, full scores, books with the composer's autographs, photographs, paintings, gramophone recordings, household items, and souvenirs from various countries. Visitors learn many interesting facts about the composer's life and work and about the cultural life of the 20th century.
