Nazar Nadzhmi House-Museum
About museum
In 1999, in Minishty, where the famous People's Poet of the Republic (RB) Nazar Nadzhmi was born and lived, a house-museum was opened to preserve the poet's literary heritage. The house-museum was lovingly built and has become a beautiful ornament of the village. Here are preserved the items the poet used and touched himself, as well as books, manuscripts, photographs, documents, letters, paintings and personal belongings. Among all the exhibits a captured German pair of binoculars stands out; for more than half a century it has clearly shown the houses of the neighboring village. The Nazar Nadzhmi House-Museum is not only a place to see objects and documents, but also a place where each exhibit holds great value and meaning tied to particular memories.
