S.D. Drozhzhin House-Museum
About museum
The house-museum of Spiridon Dmitrievich Drozhzhin is located in the village of Nozavidovsky, to which the wooden house that belonged to the poet was moved in 1937. On May 1, 1938, the first exhibition was opened there. The museum had a rich collection of exhibits: documents, photographs, furniture and the poet's library. However, during the Great Patriotic War the museum was completely devastated. Restoration began in 1945, and in 1948 it received its first visitors. The exhibition displays memorial items, examples of peasant household goods, photographs, manuscripts, autographs of Drozhzhin and other writers, as well as pre-revolutionary books. Traveling exhibitions are regularly held in the exhibition hall.
