I.I. Golikov House-Museum
About museum
Ivan Ivanovich Golikov (1887–1937) — an Honored Artist of the RSFSR and the founder of Palekh lacquer miniature, one of the brightest and most talented artists of Palekh. In 1968 a house-museum was opened in the house built in 1928. It features memorial rooms displaying the artist's personal belongings, as well as historical sections that tell in detail about the origins of the ancient painted works in Palekh and the history of the Golikov family. Unique photographic material allows visitors to see the appearance of old Palekh, and the house of I. I. Golikov serves as the starting point of the lacquer miniature exhibition.
