House of the Artist
About museum
On April 4, 1980, the House of the Artist was officially opened. In the 2000s the building was used to train young Arctic artists. In December 2018 the building was transferred to a museum, and it is now used for exchanging experiences and best practices in the development of the creative industry and the building of human capital. The building’s exhibition hall is particularly notable: around the upper perimeter of the walls there are windows so that the light falls in slanting, rather than direct, rays. At present the hall is hosting a temporary exhibition of contemporary Yakut artists.
