About museum

House of Friendship of the Peoples of Tatarstan opened in 1999 with the aim of providing state support to public national-cultural organizations for the preservation and development of the cultures of the peoples of Tatarstan.

The building provides various premises for organizing and holding events of different kinds:

a transformable hall on the first floor, used as an exhibition hall, for round-table discussions, and for catering;
two meeting rooms with 20 seats each on the second and third floors;
a conference hall with 70 seats equipped with sound equipment;
a concert hall with 250 seats;
a library with a collection of literature in the languages of the peoples of Tatarstan;
a museum of friendship;
a choreography (dance) hall.
On the basis of the House of Friendship of the Peoples of Tatarstan, 37 national-cultural autonomies operate, which are engaged in preserving native languages, culture and traditions, as well as supporting compatriots. The building also houses a multinational Sunday school, where on Sundays children are taught their native languages and study choreography and vocal arts of different peoples.

The choreography direction is represented by 22 ensembles of various peoples of Tatarstan. Two ensembles have the status 'People's'. The leaders of three ensembles hold the title 'Honored Worker of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan'.
