About museum

In 1994, the Children's Archaeological and Local History Museum 'Ancestors' Workshop' was opened at the Kirov House of Children's Creativity in Novosibirsk. It was the children from the Young Archaeologists Club 'Potomki', led by Nadezhda Viktorovna Sviridova, who became the museum's first active members. The museum, located on the right bank of the Ob River, presents an exhibition that recreates the interior of an ancient workshop and is dedicated to the crafts practiced by our ancestors.
