Deevsky Museum of Folk Crafts and Trades
About museum
Deevsky Museum of Folk Crafts and Trades was opened on August 19, 2015. The exhibits are housed in an original wooden izba of the small Ural village of Deevo. The small museum has four exhibition halls that explore themes of Russian everyday life in the 18th-19th centuries, the life of the village during the Great Patriotic War, the decorative and applied arts of residents in the 1960s-1970s, and the crafts of Deevo artisans. The museum offers guided tours and events dedicated to calendar-ritual holidays, as well as master classes. The archives contain many materials on the history of the region and the village. These documents are available to local residents and museum visitors. Additionally, guests can be offered a tourist program—a trip to Lake Moltaevo. It is known for its therapeutic mud and is located five kilometers from the village.
