In the local history museum there are over 10,000 items, distributed across 5 halls: Russian household life, Military Glory, nature of the region, oil industry, and the art hall. Visitors are offered more than 20 thematic tours, theatrical events and games, as well as group excursions to the St. Nicholas Women's Monastery and bus tours around the town. The museum houses collections of ethnography, painting, numismatics, and weapons, as well as an exhibition dedicated to the Diaghilev family. A rich collection of materials about the district's Heroes of the Soviet Union is held here, along with traveling exhibitions. The museum involves collectors, folk craftsmen and local artists. This enables the presentation of an interesting and informative program to visitors.
