Central Park of Culture and Recreation "Lopatinsky Garden" of the city of Smolensk

About museum

Lopatinsky Garden is located in the center of Smolensk and covers an area of more than 12 hectares. It was established by order of Governor Alexander Grigorievich Lopatin in 1873 on the site of the former Royal Fortress. Here, monuments of Smolensk's culture and history harmoniously combine with modern cultural and leisure infrastructure. Since then the park has attracted many residents and visitors of the city and has become their favorite place for recreation.
