Bredinsky District Local History Museum
About museum
Bredinsky District — the southernmost point of Chelyabinsk Oblast — has a history that stretches far into the past. In 2003 the Bredinsky District Local History Museum was founded; its first director was Klavdiya Doronina. In 2006 a branch was opened in Naslednitskoye, where the Church of Saint Alexander Nevsky, built in the mid-19th century, has been preserved. This cultural heritage site is included in a tourist route organized by the museum staff. Today the museum houses more than 7,000 exhibits across 27 collections: vessels, 19th-century household items, minerals, taxidermy animals, documents and photographs celebrating the district's historical milestones. The museum organizes various events for adults and children, presenting the antiquity and history of the region.
