About museum

In 1987 the 'Blagodarny Historical and Local Lore Museum' was founded, which today serves as the keeper of the history of the Blagodarny region. It houses socially significant monuments of history and culture, and museum collections are assembled here. The museum building is a monument of history and culture. P. F. Gribtsov, an honorary citizen of the town of Blagodarny, made a significant contribution to its establishment. In October 2006 the museum was named after Gribtsov. He was an outstanding organizer and an experienced mentor of youth, who trained a whole generation of leaders and specialists of cultural institutions.
