About museum

The Art Gallery of the Historical and Local Lore Museum of the Belebey District of the Republic of Bashkortostan opened on September 1, 1992. It occupies an area of 756.6 sq. m and has four exhibition halls. The gallery presents exhibitions of fine and decorative-applied arts, as well as solo and group exhibitions by artists from Belebey, Ufa and other towns of Bashkortostan and Russia. The gallery also hosts tours, lectures, master classes, competitions and creative meetings, and publishes informational and promotional articles. It cooperates with artists from the regional branch of the All-Russian Creative Public Association 'Union of Artists of Russia' of the Republic of Bashkortostan and the Regional Public Organization 'Creative Union of Artists of Russia and the Republic of Bashkortostan'. In addition, the gallery is home to the folk ensemble club of amateur artists 'Rodnik', founded in 1976. Members of the 'Rodnik' club participate in all-Russian, interregional, republican, city and district exhibitions.
