About museum
On August 15, 1974 the Bardymsky Local History Museum was founded by Honored School Teacher of the RSFSR Yuri Sergeyevich Gabitov and Honored Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation Akhmetsagit Mirkhaydarovich Tlyashev. In 2005 the museum received the status of a municipal institution of Perm Krai. More than 7,500 exhibits are collected here, representing the distinctive culture of the Tulvinsky Tatars and Bashkirs. This museum is the only place where one can fully study the culture of the Turkic population of the southern Prikamye. Here you can see numerous ethnographic materials, ceremonial towels, women's jewelry, musical instruments, manuscripts and printed publications in Arabic and Tatar, models of mosques, antique utensils and household items. From all this one can learn about the traditions of the local population of the 19th–20th centuries.
