Pathé Gramophone with a Green Horn
This gramophone with a green horn was made by the French firm Pathé. The catalogue dates it to the 19th century and classes it as an industrially manufactured item.
The firm was founded by the brothers Charles and Émile Pathé. They began in 1894 by selling Edison and Columbia phonographs and cylinder recordings, and soon started producing their own sound-reproducing machines.
The gramophone has a wooden body and metal parts; it is painted and varnished.
