Automobile museum 'Motors of October'
About museum
Collection 'Motors of October' began to take shape in 2002 with the acquisition of a Moskvich 403, a GAZ-21 Volga (third series), a Pobeda and other vehicles. Today the collection contains 146 items, including motorcycles, trucks, buses and specialised vehicles. It is steadily growing by three items per month. The collection also includes objects related to the automotive industry of the past century: radios, first-aid kits, tools, spare parts, literature, license plates and more. All of this is kept in a small museum on the premises of the restoration workshop 'Oldtimer Service' and in a private storage facility. Restoration work on cars of any make is carried out here, including parts sourcing and consultancy. The collection includes exhibits that survive as the only existing examples. Restoring a car takes more than a year, but this work is very important, because upon completion the 'Motors of October' collection will take a worthy place in the future Museum of Technology of Russia.
