Automobile Museum 'Motors of October'
About museum
The 'Motors of October' collection began to take shape in 2002 with the acquisition of a Moskvich 403, a GAZ Volga 21 (third series), a Pobeda and other vehicles. Today the collection comprises 146 items, including motorcycles, trucks, buses and special vehicles. It is steadily growing by about three items per month. The collection also includes objects related to the automotive industry of the last century: radios, first-aid kits, tools, spare parts, literature, license plates and more. All of this is kept in a small museum on the premises of the restoration workshop 'Oldtimer Service' and in a private storage facility. Restoration work on cars of any manufacturer is carried out here, including sourcing parts and consultation. The collection contains exhibits that have survived in a single copy. Car restoration takes more than a year, but this process is very important, because upon its completion the 'Motors of October' collection will take a worthy place in the future Museum of Technology of Russia.
