Arts Square Gallery
About museum
Arts Square Gallery opened in 2017 and is a multifunctional venue for exhibitions, workshops, lectures, concerts and premiere screenings. The gallery brings together a wide range of art — from folk crafts to antiques, from interior objects to pieces of jewelry art, from works by contemporary artists to recognized masterpieces by the old masters. Temporary projects are held here, and there is also a permanent exhibition from the private collection of collector and patron Mikhail Sasonko. Among the artists represented are classics of Soviet art Evsey Moiseenko, Isaac Brodsky, Georgy Nissky, Pyotr Petrovichev and Boris Uspensky. In addition, the gallery presents a unique art object, “Anna Pavlova’s Room.” The mirrored room of the great ballerina is installed in the same building where she lived in 1909-1910. In the room’s interiors visitors can try on pointe shoes and the famous Swan headdress, as well as take memorable photographs.
