Chest portrait of a man, painted in the 1820s and 1830s by Vasily Andreevich Tropinin. The man is depicted in a robe with a fur collar, his gaze is directed at the viewer, his head is turned three quarters to the right. The dark background highlights the figure, and the back of the chair is visible on the left. The inscriptions have been preserved on the stretcher: "28666" in graphite pencil on the upper strip on the right, "Ik 921 / 5" in purple ink on the lower strip on the right. On the lost frame there was an enamel plate with the inscription that Tropinin's portrait was painted by himself.
