The painting is a landscape of the sea coast. On the left is a high plateau with a cliff, in the foreground is a gentle descent to the water. There is a view of the bay to the right and in the distance. The top of the plateau is illuminated by the sun, and groups of trees are visible on the cliff and at the top. A sailboat can be seen at sea, flying birds and cumulus clouds in the sky. There is a signature at the bottom left: "A. Meshchersky 1886". The work is done on oil on canvas.
