Book. The Bible
The Bible of 1757 is a rare book bound with embossed leather—covered boards. The book has 648 sheets, the text is arranged in two columns — 59 lines per page. The pages are decorated with framed typesetting elements, and 49 copper engravings are placed at the beginning of the chapters. The title page contains seven medallions with biblical themes and two images of St. Petersburg. In the middle of the title page it says: "The Bible contains the books of the holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments," and at the bottom right there is information about the press in St. Petersburg at the Academy of Sciences and Arts in 1751. On the flyleaf there is a stamp "YAHM Library" and an inscription in ink — "3697".
