Architectural and Ethnographic Museum 'Vasilevo'
About museum
On December 13, 1976, a museum was opened on the grounds of the former Lvov noble estate, founded by the brilliant Russian architect N. A. Lvov. In Vasilevo a unique cascading hydraulic system and a boulder bridge were created; the bridge is held together solely by gravity. Unique examples of wooden architecture, including churches, chapels, residential and farm buildings of the 18th–19th centuries, were transported from various districts of the Tver Region. The museum's exhibits are divided into Central Russian and Northern Russian Karelian sectors. In the Central Russian sector one can see a typical peasant village, while the Northern Russian sector features a Karelian house and granaries. The museum grounds host the annual 'Trinity Festivities' festival, where visitors can enjoy a variety of performances by folk ensembles, presentations of national cuisines, games and competitions. In total the museum complex includes 19 sites.
