Architectural and Ethnographic Museum of the village of Kolarovo
About museum
Near Tomsk, just a 30-minute drive away, lies the old Siberian village of Spasskoye. This place is protected as a natural park. The village's history began in the early 17th century when it was founded on the bank of the Tom River at the rock formation Siniy Utyos (Blue Cliff). It took its name from a church, the first mention of which dates back to 1644. In the 17th–18th centuries this was a frontier post and part of a caravan route from Moscow to Mongolia and China. The village has many historical attractions, including old buildings and a kurgan burial mound. In addition, the geological natural monument Siniy Utyos is located here, offering a magnificent view of the river and the village. From Kolarovo you can start the "To the Blue Cliff" route.
