Architectural and Ethnographic Complex named after Kayum Nasyri
About museum
In 1926 the house of Kayum Nasyri was rebuilt in the village of Malye Shirdany, and in 1947 it was moved to the village of Bolshiye Achasyry. In 1993 the chairman of the kolkhoz "Sovet", Sabitov Rais Islamovich, purchased the house and granted it museum status. In 1997 the Kayum Nasyri Architectural and Ethnographic Complex was opened in the village of Bolshiye Achasyry, Zelenodolsk District, Republic of Tatarstan. The founder of the complex is Abzalina Ramziya Asrarovna. It includes a peasant's house, a bathhouse and various farm outbuildings located around the perimeter of the yard. As of May 2021, the number of items in the museum's main collection is 931, and they reflect applied arts, everyday life and ethnography. The main tasks of the museum are: protection of historic sites and buildings, preservation of the memory of Kayum Nasyri's culture, collection and study of materials reflecting the historical heritage of the village of B. Achasyry. In 2019 a tourist route for this site was developed, and a grant "Journey to a Tatar Village" was also received.
