Architectural and Ethnographic Complex named after Kayum Nasyri
About museum
In 1926 Kayum Nasyri's house was rebuilt in the village of Malye Shirdany, and in 1947 it was moved to the village of Bolshie Achasyry. In 1993 Rais Islamovich Sabitov, chairman of the Sovet collective farm, purchased the house and granted it museum status. In 1997 the Kayum Nasyri Architectural and Ethnographic Complex was opened in the village of Bolshie Achasyry in the Zelenodolsk district of the Republic of Tatarstan. The founder of the complex is Ramziya Asrarovna Abzalina. It includes a peasant's house, a bathhouse and various outbuildings arranged around the yard perimeter. As of May 2021 the number of main collection items in the museum is 931, reflecting applied arts, everyday life and ethnography. The main tasks of the museum are: protection of historic sites and buildings, preserving the memory of Kayum Nasyri's culture, and collecting and studying materials that reflect the historical heritage of the village of B. Achasyry. In 2019 a tourist route was developed for this site, and a grant titled "A Journey to a Tatar Village" was received.
