In 2022, descendants of the old Russian noble Yakovlev family founded the Yakovlev Family Museum, or YaMuseum. It is dedicated to family, family history, and the transmission of knowledge between generations. The museum features a permanent exhibition, "Family Is More Than a Museum", which helps people understand the significance of roots and ancestors. The museum's name includes the initial letter of the Yakovlev family name and the pronoun "I", which signifies personality and individuality. The creation of the museum was made possible thanks to support from the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives and the work of designer-architects, students and faculty of the Moscow Architectural Institute. This museum is a visual case study of how important it is to know and remember your roots.
