In 2022, descendants of the old Russian noble family Yakovlev created the Yakovlev Family Museum, or YaMuseum. It is dedicated to family, family history and the transmission of knowledge between generations. The museum features a permanent exhibition, "Family Is More Than a Museum", which helps people understand the importance of roots and ancestors. The museum's name contains the first letter of the Yakovlev name and the pronoun "I" ("ya" in Russian), which signifies personality and individuality. The creation of the museum was made possible thanks to the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives and the work of designer-architects, students, and faculty of the Moscow Architectural Institute. This museum is a tangible "case" showing how important it is to know and remember one's roots.
