About museum

In 2002 the Almanchikovsky Local History Museum was founded; in 2005 it was awarded the title People's. It is located on the second floor of the House of Culture and occupies an area of 180 sq. m. The museum has an introductory hall and several exhibition halls. The first hall features an ethnographic exhibition, and the second displays the interior of a peasant izba from the mid-20th century. There are also halls dedicated to the early organization of collective farms, to exemplary collective-farm workers, to notable villagers, to defenders of the Fatherland, and to a Memorial Room. The museum's holdings include documentary, photographic, and ethnographic materials, as well as collections of personal belongings.
